Week 2: Let’s be mindful!

This week has been full of change and has given me more to juggle than I thought was possible; this including my newfound road to health. With all the commotion, one thing I was able to get some headway on were some conscious decisions to keep on my feet and finding alternative ways to getting to where I need to go.

The universe has been on my side with this, and what seemed to be a curse, has proven a blessing. My car broke down right after my first week back on campus and it has been quiet the obstacle to get around. Getting to work and school have been no easy task, but I’ve been managing… WITH MY FEET! I felt that this was the perfect opportunity to get moving on my weight loss, and so far it’s been refreshing.

I walk to and from work which is about a mile each way, on top of all the running around I do there. I don’t need a car to get around much where I live, but in a world where my car is working, I’d’ve taken it anyway. It’s been refreshing to look around from outside the windows of a car, and I’ve felt great this past week.

I’m a bit slow getting on top of everything else though, that includes my cleaner eating. While my habits aren’t horrible, I know I could be doing a lot better, if I just put a little more time and effort into things. No fears, though, this week, I will be conquering my better eating goals and hopefully be seeing even more of a change. This week is all about being mindful of these challenges, not limited by them; I hope you all work towards feeling the same!
